The church was built in the 16th century and arched with wood in the 17th century. Light enters through the Renaissance grisaille window, which has a winding balcony and a stack of exquisite statues from churches destroyed during the Revolution. Many of these are the works of Dominique Florentin. It is said that Saint Jacques is a self-portrait.
